![]() I don't believe you can add DLNA sources to your library, so you won't get all of the nice features that Kodi normally adds when managing a library. Last I played with it, I wasn't a huge fan of how Kodi managed with DLNA. Personally, I wouldn't use DLNA to access your media through Kodi. There's a couple of kinks I still have to work out, but for the most part it's working.Į: I just double checked to make sure that post processing won't move unadded movies/tv shows. This way things are a little more organized. Then, I can set up another label such as "Movie" so that any movie that's downloaded through my client will be moved to a "Movie" directory rather than TV. SickRage watches the "TV" directory to post process files, where I symlink them to their final destination (share>video>tv>show>season>episode). ![]() ![]() Anything with the label "TV" will be moved from a staging directory to a "TV" directory. Essentially any torrent added through SickRage will be given a label "TV". So if you put a movie in there, and it's not recognized as a TV show that you've added, it'll get left alone.Īlthough I just use labels on my torrents to control where completed downloads go. I know with SickBeard, if there's a file it doesn't recognize it'll just leave it. TL DR: 2TB of Media that needs meta data/photos, Zyxel NSA325 Network Attached Storage, 3+ TVs with all different devices (DLNA?), what's your software recommendation and setup tips? What would you recommend for software and setup? I just did some brief googling and came across this Ember Media Manager, and started to dabble in Sickbeard and Sickrage a few months ago (but gave up when I didn't know how to make this work with my NAS). The file structure is really strange when accessing media this way though, where the root DLNA is broken down into accessing videos by name, rating, genre, and folder (which is the only usable option since I have some media organized by folder). I was planning on accessing all this media via DLNA off the NAS since I want to be able to get to it from 3+ TVs with all different devices, but if there's a better way I'm all ears. I have a Zyxel NSA325 (2x 3 TB RAID Drives) that I need to get all my media moved to, but I haven't moved anything off my 3 TB computer drive in case I need to prep everything beforehand. Hey r/XBMC, I haven't done much with the media scene for years (since my xbox modding days at least), and my collection is becoming too much for the simple F2>rename solution.
